Scottish Slate Roofers is an independent specialist roofing sourcing and introduction service. This policy explains how information submitted to us is handled.

Information we may collect

When you contact us or submit a roofing enquiry, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, property location, details of the roofing work required, photographs you choose to provide, and other information included in your enquiry.

How we use it

We use enquiry information to respond to you, assess the nature and location of the roofing requirement, administer and secure the service and, where appropriate, source suitable independent roofing contractors for assessment and quotation.

Sharing roofing enquiries

Where you have given consent, relevant enquiry information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with a limited number of suitable independent roofing contractors, normally no more than three, so that they can assess the project and contact you about providing a quotation. We do not broadcast enquiries to an unlimited marketplace and we do not sell general marketing lists.

Contractors are independent businesses and are responsible for their own handling of personal data once received. Scottish Slate Roofers is independent and is remunerated by participating and successful roofing contractors; there is no charge to property owners for our sourcing and introduction service.

Project Intelligence

Scottish Slate Roofers also conducts independent project research using lawful public and professional sources. This Project Intelligence service is separate from an owner-submitted roofing enquiry. Personal information submitted by a property owner through our enquiry form is not converted into a wider 10-recipient Project Intelligence distribution; the form consent remains limited to sharing the submitted enquiry with up to three suitable independent roofing contractors for assessment and quotation.

Lawful basis

Depending on the circumstances, we process information because it is necessary to take steps at your request, because we have legitimate interests in operating and securing the enquiry service, or because you have given consent where consent is required.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate legal, accounting or dispute-resolution needs. We take reasonable measures to protect information from unauthorised access or disclosure.

We use Google Ads conversion measurement to understand whether advertising leads to roofing enquiries. Non-essential Google measurement storage is denied by default. If you choose to allow optional measurement, you can do so on our Cookie settings page. If you accept measurement, Google may use cookies or similar identifiers for conversion measurement; advertising personalisation remains disabled by our site consent setting. If you keep essential-only settings, consent remains denied and Google may receive only limited cookieless measurement signals through Consent Mode.
